DVD TV Show Review: Whose Line Is It Anyway? - Season 1, Vol.1

The American version of the popular British improvisational comedy show.

TV Series DVD Review: Whose Line Is It AnywaySynopsis:
Whose Line Is It Anyway? (1998-2004) is based on the British show of the same name, which aired from 1988 to 1998. It features some of the nation's finest improvisational comedians, including Florida's Wayne Brady, Canada's Colin Mochrie, Ryan Stiles and Drew Carey from The Drew Carey Show. Each week, the preceding four and a rotating group of actors and actresses spontaneously play games with outrageous scenes, weird quirks, and incredible songs.

Host Drew Carey, takes suggestions from the audience, assigns roles and scenarios to the comedian contestants, who must then improvise a skit on the spot. They are awarded with a lot of worthless points but the real winner is the audience, who receive a hours of hilarious humor on this DVD.

There are two releases of Whose Line Is It Anyway available to buy. The "Uncensored" version with the original material and the family version or "censored" version that is better if you have young kids around (note it doesn't says "censored" on the DVD's cover, it just doesn't have the word "uncensored" on it, as you can see below in the DVD pictures on this page)

Cast: Drew Carey (host and sometimes contestant) Colin Mochrie, Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady, Laura Hall (piano)
